MAKI MAKI presents: THREADS by Gabriela Galup

PHIL SPACE is proud to host visionary puppeteer Gabriela Galup of Peru for her performance of "Threads", a personal and global mythology of migration.

Maki-Maki is a Quechua word which means 'to do with hands'. We experience the possibility of transforming, of healing, of giving, of receiving, with our hands. MakiMaki Theater uses hands to weave characters, to weave stories to connect with all the linked hearts beating in the universal warp. Each visual story is a silent poem that speaks to life, love, peace and hope to grow and be better for oneself and for others. Let's use our hands to weave new paths that lead to caring for and preserving our world.
